The Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center (SKyPAC) Foundation Board voted Wednesday evening to extend the temporary closure of SKyPAC and the Capitol Arts Center through October 31, 2020. Both facilities have been closed to the public since mid-March in response to the global COVID-19 Virus. Acknowledging the desire to re-open at 100% capacity as soon as possible, the board indicated they would be willing to adjust the closure timeline based on continued assessment of area conditions. Dear Fellow Arts Patrons, Suspense in a dramatic performance might be entertaining, but suspense over the future of our community’s performing arts centers is real. And it’s alarming.
