Zach Williams’ journey tells the story of a small-town boy with a strong faith and loving family who was drawn into the excesses of rock stardom. Raised in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and now based in Nashville, Zach is a husband, father, and one of CCM’s leading artists. His blend of southern rock, country, and faith-filled songwriting earned him a GRAMMY® for his debut album Chain Breaker, with more accolades following.

Despite growing up in church with musically gifted parents, Zach’s pursuit of music led to a destructive lifestyle. A turning point came on tour in Spain when he heard Big Daddy Weave’s Redeemed on the radio, sparking his decision to change. He left his band, returned home, and committed to faith, family, and sobriety, working construction while leading worship at church.

Music found him again when producer Jonathan Smith heard him sing on Christmas Eve 2014, leading to the breakthrough hit Chain Breaker. Inspired by prison ministry, Zach later recorded Survivor: Live From Harding Prison, earning another GRAMMY nomination. His sophomore album, Rescue Story, continues his message of redemption and faith, reflecting the second chance he’s been given. Today, Zach remains committed to his family and music, sharing his testimony through songs that uplift and inspire.
